Project Walk-Through & Full Moon Meditation Workshop with BA Product Design graduate Lia Foley-Kelleher.
Lia Foley-Kelleher is a human-centered designer and researcher who has focused her graduate project around a topic of Meabhrach (Irish for mindful) that is deeply important to the designer.
.
Born from vulnerability, passion and lived experience, Meabhrach provides a holistic and caring environment for those who have undergone years of mental health support and are now seeking to access their mental healthcare records. Currently many patient records are not written with the patient in mind and they can be potentially traumatic or triggering to read. Meabhrach provides essential support and comfort throughout this self-reflection journey. It also serves as a multifunctional safe, comforting space for self-reflection, meditation and emotion regulation.
.
During this event Lia will talk through her research, process and meaning behind the project Meabhrach, allowing a space for open conversation and encouraging contemplation. Participants are invited to avail of the crafted self-reflection hut with cosy furnishings, sensory lights and aromas to enhance this experience.
The event will conclude with a Workshop where attendees are invited to set positive intentions, affirmations, and are invited to write anything that may be helpful to let go of!
The designer states, as the following day is June 11th and a day of a full moon (strawberry moon) this is another reason to harness positive energy. Look forward to seeing you there! ✨️
