This project investigates the Circular Economy Model through picture book making. Composed of A2 recycled papers and printed in Risograph, the picture book 'Footprints Follow' explores the concept of overconsumption and loss of natural wildlife in Ireland through an illustrated narrative created for primary school children. The book was produced in a limited print run, with the intention of being made for library use and group readings. All the illustrations were originally in ink the artist made from used coffee grounds.
Functions Follow is a poster campaign that encourages visiting and utilising local library services to engage the community and promote Footprints Follow.
'Futures Follow' is a workshop and reading of Footprints Follow, hosted at Ballintotas National School. The students were presented with worksheets that turn into accordion books once completed- an invitation to imagine new ways to protect our wild spaces in response to the reading.
