Clouds Observed
Angelika Stochla presents a multidisciplinary exploration of the emotional resonance between nature and mental health. Rooted in the concept of 'meteoropathy'—the idea that our moods mirror the weather—this body of work draws on journaling, printmaking, photography, and drawing to investigate how seasonal shifts affect inner landscapes.
Central to the exhibition is 'Clouds Observed', a hand-bound book born from daily reflections and sky observations, accompanied by a series of delicate photographs printed on Japanese paper—each cloud tied to a month and a mood. An audio piece featuring a reading by the artist’s mother adds an intimate narrative layer. Rather than defining what clouds represent, the work invites viewers to connect personally and emotionally, evoking nostalgia and encouraging vulnerability. Her work offers a gentle space for introspection—where clouds, like emotions, drift, shift, and eventually clear.
