Dressed Becomings: Encounters with Nature and Technology
How do you dress a being that lives between worlds? This project narrates a story of becoming-with others in spaces between leaky margins. Adorning the body creates opportunities to imagine new paradigms of natural/unnatural, technological/biological, and human/animal.
Taking a broad definition of fashion and dress, this research examines case studies from Arca, Alexander McQueen, and Iris Van Herpen. This research finds itself between discourses, as it endeavours to understand dressed bodies who find themselves in similar situations of hybridity.
