Hope is the Thing With Feathers
Bronwen's work navigates the intricate interactions of hope, healing, and the human experience. Exploring through symbols to interpret manifestation and therapeutic practice through imagery, such as birds and natural touchstones.
Bronwen uses drawing, ink, and paintings as a therapeutic exercise to produce a series of images, to explore the liminal space between therapeutic intention and obsession. She delves into the human need to place meaning and hope on nature and objects, making them into amulets, rituals, therapeutic and touch stones to help, heal and ground.
Bronwen draws on Irish sayings, traditions, and stories, while also looking at symbolism in literature and pop culture, and how motifs are repeated throughout imagery and language.
