Hidden Curriculum (TBC) aims to co-create an engaging and accessible workshop for students with disabilities at NCAD to help them prepare for entering the creative workforce. It will offer practical tools, shared knowledge, and a supportive environment. The workshop will creatively address the gaps in access to employment preparation and rights awareness, using a life-size accessible board game and mock qualification to highlight common challenges and build confidence. The project ultimately aims to advocate for this kind of intervention to become a permanent offering within NCAD for students with disabilities. Hidden Curriculum (still TBC) is being developed in partnership with NCADSU and NCAD Access Office.
My practice is grounded in accessibility, advocacy, and collective care. My work uses creative and participatory methods to challenge dominant narratives and open up space for dialogue and inclusion. I am particularly interested in how art can be used for social change by sparking conversations, building solidarity, and imagining more equitable futures. Through workshops and collaborative processes, my work explores how students with disabilities experience institutional spaces and how these spaces can be reshaped to better support them. My practice is driven by a commitment to co-creating accessible, engaging, and lasting resources that respond to real gaps in support for disabled students as they move from education into the creative workforce.
