It’s a good day when you get it. A bad day when you don’t.
The pursuit of change lies at the core of my practice. Rather than reinforcing sameness, repetition becomes a way to explore transformation. Each iteration of an image introduces subtle variations, shaped by movement, time, and an evolving process- turning it into a vehicle for change and discovery. My process is intuitive, embracing human error and external influences as integral to the creative act.
This openness to unpredictability leads to intense visual and conceptual engagement. My approach is methodical, yet restless. While I seek rhythm, I welcome disruptions that introduce surprise and discomfort. This deliberate destabilisation prevents uniformity and encourages organic evolution. Grid-like sequences suggest structure and visual narrative, but are undermined by marks and scratches that introduce instability and decay.
Through obsessive repetition, I evoke memory, not just as recollection, but as an acknowledgment of inevitable loss. My work becomes an unfolding of thought, time, and process.
