STRETCH EASE
'Stretch Ease' is a medical device designed to help relieve painful leg and foot muscle cramps experienced by hemodialysis patients during treatment. Hemodialysis is a life-sustaining process for individuals with little or no kidney function- it removes waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the blood. Patients typically undergo this exhausting treatment in hospital wards for four hours every other day. It is physically and mentally draining, often likened to running a marathon after a full day’s work.
One of the most severe side effects is intense muscle cramping in the legs and feet. Patients are required to remain in bed throughout the procedure and are unable to stretch to ease the pain.
Stretch Ease provides a simple, effective solution, allowing patients to safely and comfortably relieve cramps without leaving their beds. It enhances comfort and improves the overall treatment experience.
