Sun, It Rises
This collection explores the intersection of nature and environmental crisis through the dreamlike lens of childhood innocence. The title speaks to both renewal and resilience, offering an emotional and visual response to our fragile world. This body of work evokes a sense of hope while reflecting mournfully on our shifting relationship with nature and the realities of climate change.
It invites the viewer to reconsider their place within the natural world, guided by the purity and wonder of youthful perspective. Through a juxtaposition of materials, delicate, sheer fabrics symbolising fragility, alongside sturdier textiles representing the enduring nature of hope and human spirit, creates a tactile language of contrast and balance.
This body of work, stands as a quiet beacon in uncertain times: a reminder of the joy and simplicity of youth and a call to preserve the beauty of our environment for generations to come. Ultimately, it is a celebration of possibility, rooted in nostalgia and urgent hope.
