A- Way
My work investigates consuming and discarding behaviour in contemporary societies.
The material, which in an uninterrupted - and increasingly rapid - process goes from product to waste, describes who we are and the direction we are heading.
And there is no need to look too hard: it is already in front of us, in ever-increasing quantities and yet invisible. As invisible as our growth-based economic model is - so much is taken for granted.
So, I use photography as a testimony: of my time, of our search for satisfactions, the durability of these, and further, of the kind of value we are pursuing.
My work lies in the awareness of what is already there: an invitation to “stay”, with what we have in common, with processes that affect us and describe us.
The current climate urgency requires a powerful awakening to act: this awakening is the goal of my art.
