Boppie
New parents face an overwhelming amount of pressure to raise their children 'perfectly'. While most new parents understand the benefits of breastfeeding as opposed to bottle feeding, the reality is that it is not always possible, adding a layer of guilt to an already stressful situation.
'Boppie' aims to alleviate some of the guilt felt by new parents, around feeding their infants, by introducing some of the benefits of breastfeeding into the experience of bottle feeding. By promoting skin-to-skin contact between parent and child, Boppie increases the passing of antibodies and microbiomes to the child, strengthening their immune systems.
As a young woman in design, I look towards a better future for women, providing them with products that alleviate some of the pressures we face in our daily lives. Boppie is designed to take the obligation of feeding away from just the lactating parent.
