Medical Device Academic Projects
Hi! I’m Jack, a 2024 graduate in Product Design with a strong interest in how human-centered thinking can improve healthcare outcomes. My background has taught me to look beyond the product and focus on how people actually interact with it—something that became even more important to me as I explored the medical device space.
During my Master’s, I had the opportunity to work on collaborative projects with UCC Assert, West Pharmaceuticals, Stryker, St. James’s Hospital, Hollister, and the Mater Hospital. These experiences deepened my understanding of human factors, usability, and the real-world challenges clinicians and patients face. I’m particularly interested in designing solutions that not only function well but also reduce cognitive load, improve safety, and enhance the overall user experience.
I’m excited by the opportunity to create thoughtful, empathetic design solutions that bridge the gap between complex medical technologies and the people who use them every day.
