Growth and Order
My work explores sustainability and transformation through sculptural printmaking, repurposing past prints into organic, free-flowing forms that interact with light, shadow, and space. By layering, folding and reshaping these materials, I investigate the tension between natural and man-made systems of fluid organic growth versus rigid geometric order.
This process-led practice combines soft ground etching, screenprinting, and experimental play with elements such as bioglass and reused raw materials. I’m particularly interested in capturing natural textures and imprints, using organic matter to create surfaces that suggest growth, decay and change.
Throughout this body of work, I investigate how materials can evolve through time and intense experimentation. By altering and repurposing prints, I aim to give them a second life not just visually but conceptually, reflecting ongoing cycles of change within nature and artistic practice.
