At the heart of my work is an enduring fascination with the importance of women in our lives.
This fascination is rooted in my own family’s story. My mother, the steady pulse of our home, first taught herself to sew long before I was born. One evening, she proudly presented a tiny, handmade pair of shorts for my brother, an act of love woven into fabric. My father, returning from his job as a cook, saw in this a challenge- and soon, the rhythm of sewing became part of our family’s legacy. What began as a simple stitch of curiosity became my father’s craft, later passed down to my brother.
It is this thread- of care, of creation, of quiet power- that I follow in my art. The presence of women transforms a house into a home. I paint them in moments of joy, solitude, and reverie.
