Meabhrach
As a product designer-researcher, my aim for this project is to encourage self-reflection, healing, and open conversation. Born from vulnerability, passion, and lived experience, Meabhrach creates a more holistic and caring environment for individuals who have undergone years of mental health support and are now seeking to access their healthcare records.
Currently, many patient records are not written with the patient in mind, and reading them can be potentially traumatic or triggering. Meabhrach offers essential support and comfort throughout this self-reflection journey. Located in a designated guidance centre, it provides a private, sensory-friendly reflection hut where individuals can prepare their mindset and review their records in a safe, supportive, and confidential space.
Trained guides are available to assist, ensuring that those revisiting their records receive the emotional support needed to navigate the experience with care and understanding.
