Master Thesis Project in Collaboration with Boston Scientific
My name is Maria Poch, a recently graduated Biomedical Engineer from Barcelona with bright prospects. During my studies, my extroverted nature has allowed me to come across a social and professional network that has instigated a breakthrough in my perception of the health system and its effect on people’s daily lives. My innate social and analytical skills coupled with my insatiable curiosity have made me lean towards the design and development of medical devices where professionals from very different fields come together to develop user centered solutions.
This year in the MSc Medical Device Design I have worked in close contact with some major companies of the area like Stryker, West Pharma, Boston Scientific, UCC Assert, St Jame's Hospital, Hollister, and The Mater Hospital. Working alongside curated professionals in the biomedical field not only has it allowed me have a deeper understanding of the stakeholders involved in all the process of developing a medical device, but also it has boosted my creativity and eagerness to keep growing in such a fast evolving environment.
All in all, I am keen on growing my social and professional network and developing my design and engineering skills.
