Placemaking: Encouraging Conversation in Thoughtful Spaces
'Placemaking: Encouraging Conversation in Thoughtful Spaces' is an exploration into what it means to create space and encourage meaningful connection within groups. This work is designed to establish a toolkit that might assist community leaders, social entrepreneurs, and creatives by offering facilitation tools aimed to foster critical thought and open dialogue.
With over two decades working with students, entrepreneurs, and business owners around the world, my practice emphasises an understanding of communities in order to develop research-based and purposeful strategy.
Prior to enrolling in NCAD's Art and Social Action program, I co-founded Learning House, a learning centre in Nepal. I graduated from the University of Colorado magna cum laude before earning a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University (New York) and am recognised as an International Education Scholar by the Government of Ireland.
