As I Return to the Mother, I am Re-Membered
My work is intertwined with my shamanic healing practice. I create ceremonial works in tandem with the Wheel of the Year through foraging, botanical ink making, organic experimental print practices, and video performance. These processes serve as offerings for the land, as well as a call to remember our inherent connection with the earth.
I utilise movement and the body in ceremony to enact personal healing. Through embodied movement, I am 'Re-Membering' the self. 'Re-Membering' refers to the process undertaken by a shaman in which they repair the energy body during the healing ceremony.
The ceremonies are part of a cyclical series. The ceremony shown occurs on Imbolc, a threshold of the Sabbats in which we welcome the lighter days; this reflects my journey into the light.
