Together is a Place
'Together is a Place' is a heart-centered, socially engaged documentary that explores how integration can begin through everyday acts of care and creativity. Rooted in relational aesthetics, the project brings people together to cook, grow food, share stories, and simply spend time in each other’s company.
Filmed across a series of intimate workshops hosted in homes, kitchens, and gardens, the documentary captures the quiet, meaningful ways community and connection form when strangers meet with openness. Whether blending spices, swapping plants, or exchanging recipes, each act becomes a joyful gesture of trust and togetherness. These moments—small, sincere, and often surprising—offer a soft resistance to division and a celebration of belonging.
The project is grounded in empathy, humour, and hope. It asks: what if integration isn’t just policy or paperwork, but something we co-create through presence, play, and shared meals? What if togetherness is not a destination, but a place?
