The Discarded, Reimagined
My project revolved around taking an environmentally conscious approach to upcycling, aiming to transform discarded materials into new objects of interest. Discarded materials may change form but do not disappear. Taking both discarded material from fast fashion, which can have a long term detrimental impact on the environment and discarded natural objects, I reimagine their potential. It is a reflection of both wasteful consumption and the opportunity to transform the discarded into something unique and beautiful.
Through my work, I strive to support dialogue surrounding sustainability and ethical consumption, inviting viewers to question the value of material goods and embrace the beauty in repurposed, discarded materials.
