‘Delivering Justice’ is a creative, community-led project that highlights the ongoing marginalisation of the Traveller community, focusing on the critical issue of limited access to postal services. The project is a collaboration between Susan O'Neill and Sinead Clancy and the Labre Park Women’s Group. We are gathering personal stories to document how this exclusion impacts daily life. Using artistic methods such as mail art, community stamp-making, and live public actions, we aim to creatively advocate for equal access to basic services.
Through a participatory framework, Traveller women will lead the storytelling and artistic process, ensuring their voices shape the narrative. This initiative not only raises awareness of the denial of essential services but also challenges the lack of institutional engagement with the community. By amplifying individual experiences, the project seeks to spark broader conversations about systemic neglect and support the Traveller community’s right to fair and respectful treatment. We are using art as a tool for visibility, resistance, and collective empowerment.
