Layers of Light
This collection of interior window treatments focuses on creating textiles that blend aesthetics and functionality. Centred on the interaction of light, colour, and texture, it explores how transparency and opacity can shape a room’s atmosphere by balancing natural light with privacy. Through soft shadows and shifting gradients, it brings warmth and colour into interior spaces.
I have committed to using cellulose-based yarns to align with sustainable practices, consciously avoiding protein and synthetic fibres to reduce environmental impact. My research focuses on
innovations in cellulose materials, particularly TENCEL™ Lyocell from Lenzing, known for its sustainable production and silk-like qualities. Combining nature and science, I strive to create an innovative, sleek aesthetic, showing that sustainability and contemporary design can coexist.
The ideal customer is a sustainability-minded individual who values creativity and sees natural light as key to a positive and mindful home.
